The Great Unknowns Presents and All Indie Magazine will be presenting the annual 2012 All Indie Music Awards on Friday, Feb. 10th at the famous Key Club located in Los Angeles. This awards show was created to promote the best independent music artists. Expected attendance is 600+, and the event will be streamed online.

Artists can submit via ReverbNation for seven live slots during the show.

Eligibility:
Musicians must include at least one live performance video in their RPK. Artists do not need to be nominated for an award to play live.

Event Description:

Black Mountain Productions Inc. and Urban Culture Magazine presents: The 2012 Indie Music Fest on April 27-28, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This major two day competition showcase: “The East Coast vs. The West Coast” is a battle not seen before!

There will be 40 bands competing:

- 20 Hip Hop, R&B, Urban Bands (10 from the West Coast and 10 from the East Coast)

- 20 Rock, Pop, Alternative Bands (10 from the West Coast and 10 from the East Coast).

A panel of selected music industry judges will select the one best artist from the Urban and Rock categories..

Open to USA residents residing in both East and West Coast areas. All artists MUST be unsigned.

VIP Showcase Review: A confirmed team of indie music industry VIP’s will be at the event, (in addition to the music industry judges) for the purpose of bands to showcase their talents, as they attempt to elevate their careers to the next level.

Dedicated Artist Merchandising Area: A specific area has been created for each artist to sell, market and promote their own merchandise, as well as network their talents to music industry professionals at the event. All proceeds received, will be 100% retained by those participating bands.

Special Travel Accommodations: Black Mountain has agreed to provide all out-of-town bands, one night of hotel/motel room accommodations for their band/group (up to 5 band members *Additional information will be provided shortly), at the hotel of choice by Black Mountain Productions.

Special Prizes/Awards And Activities: Winners receive an artist development/music resource package designed to further assist with their careers. Winners (one Urban, Hip Hop or R&B and one Rock, Pop or Alternative) will each receive a prize package valued at $45,000+, which includes but is not limited to: artist development opportunities with experts, music production, inclusion in Urban Culture Magazines Radio and TV programming, social network promotion (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) music video production, mastering, subscriptions to professional music publications, vocal coaching services, studio rehearsal and recording time with discounts, press release services, financial and legal consultation services, professional photography sessions, gear, endorsements, 24 month pre-marketing and management, publishing and recording opportunities and so much more! Also, in 2012, two lucky artists, one from the West Coast and one from the East Coast will be chosen at the Indie Music Fest, to walk the red carpet at The 22nd annual Los Angeles Music Awards event and each will receive a Producers Choice Award for their achievements!

Each selected band that will be performing will also receive: (which includes, but not limited to) Major Promotion and Advertising with: Radio, Newspaper, Magazine, Internet with national coverage, E-Blasts, Viral Promotion (Facebook, Twitter, MySpace) Street Teams, Posters, Flyers, Press Release, Newsletters, Websites and much more. At this time, artists will not be paid for their participation or performance at the event.

Many Americans are feeling the economic crunch these days,

The international trade laws have presented many problems for American companies. China does not recognize our trademarks nor play fair. We will leave the politics to the professionals, however think about this……while you think you have gotten a great deal on that new instrument, it may very well be a bad investment. You may pay much more than your fake is worth! Also American companies are feeling the pain of lost sales which can lead to layoffs or ? China has a first to file trademark system. C.F. Martin as well as other companies have been fighting this. The chinese are manufacturing direct knockoffs of Martin Guitars and they are being sold at overseas tradeshows to music store dealers. Buyer beware!
